Verdict: Stripped down to Nightingale, Walrus, Lynx and Skunk, The Sound of Animals Fighting are due to release thier follow up to "Lover, the Lord Has Left Us..." on Sept 9th but it leaked a few days ago. Its a grower, its not as instantly satisfying as the previous albums. As always thier experimentation and blending of musical forms can take a few listens to really appriciate but has a really deep, epic quality to it. Ocean and The Sun is a real progressive step up towards a Mars Volta level of experimentation and depth, with the title track "The Ocean and the Sun" sounding particually reminisent, but the albums lacks the thumping pulse of "Tiger and The Duke".
